UC Admission Decisions

All freshman applicants to the University of California should have received their admission decisions in March. Transfer students should receive their admission decisions by late April. If you have been denied admission to University of California and feel that you have new and compelling information to report or need to correct an error in your application, the deadlines for filing an appeal are as follows:

Freshman – the deadline is April 5^th (3/28 for UCSC)

Transfers – May 15^th (prior to May 9^th for UCSC)

It is important to check with individual campuses for their appeal process. Remember, UC can revoke an acceptance if your application is inaccurate or if your academic performance for the remainder of this year falls off dramatically. The Statement of Intent to Register is due by May 1^st with a deposit. For transfer students that date is June 1^st.

Upcoming SAT and ACT Deadlines

April 4^th, 2014 – SAT registration deadline for the test on May 3^rd, 2014

April 12, 2014 – ACT test date

May 9^th, 2014 – Registration deadline for ACT June 14^th, 2014 test date

May 9^th, 2014 – Registration deadline for the SAT June 7^th test date

WACAC Share, Learn, and Connect Conference

On March 19^th, 2014 I attended the WACAC Share, Learn, and Connect Conference at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. I was present for professional development workshops in essay writing, advising visual and performing arts students, and working with international students. Afterwards I toured the beautiful campus of California Lutheran University. Its small classes, beautiful facilities, and friendly students make this an ideal place to attend college.
